Fostering a Culture of Health & Safety for Body & Mind

Incidents and accidents should be avoidable through effective hazard identification and active risk management. We aim to achieve ‘zero’ incidents and accidents through sensible Health and Safety Management. We implement and maintain our Health and Safety Management System to ISO 45001.

Through the implementation of our values which are promoted across all levels and areas of our business, we are committed to the continuous improvement of our performance.

Our Values

Respect

Dedicated to maintaining a culture of inclusiveness, we build relationships through respect of all people, their cultures, their understanding, and beliefs.  We are considerate to the needs and requirements of people who may be affected by our activities.

Leadership and Integrity

We lead by example and work together to leave a positive impact through our actions and behaviours.

Co-Operation and Co-Ordination

We consult with our workforce and encourage their suggestions, opinions, and ideas before making changes to the working environment.

Everyone at Techrete has a role to bring about continuous improvements in health and safety performance. For this to be successful on an on-going basis, all employees within the health and safety system must understand their role and perform their responsibility.

Commitment

We are committed to protecting the health and safety of our employees and that of others who may be affected by our business activities. We believe that every employee has the right to work in an environment where risks to health and safety are properly controlled, both physically and psychologically.

Mental Health

As part of our Mental Health programme and as Company Supporters of the Lighthouse Club charity, all employees and their families are entitled and encouraged to utilize a complimentary one-to-one counselling service.

Techrete facilitates the training of multiple Mental Health First Aid Officers in both Ireland and the UK, promoting their presence within the company and providing a discreet or ‘safe place’ for discussions to take place, should any employee need advice, or someone to speak to.
