2 St Peters Square Highly Commended
November 23, 2018
Earlier this week at the 50th U.K Concrete Society Awards a project we had worked on in Manchester was highly commended. In a category filled with great projects this is a great achievement for the team. This project features some very bespoke panels that are intricate and extremely picturesque. Images of the build can be seen below. The project was designed by Simpson Haugh Architects whom drew inspiration from the Lancaster Rose, which adorns the county flag, and from the Cotton Bud fountain, which is a reflection of Manchester’s historical links with the cotton industry, the tracery panels were designed to incorporate these elements whilst drawing on further inspiration from the town hall extension stair turrets. The tracery panels are both decorative and functional and offer natural shading from the full height glazing which is situated behind them.
The project was a great one to be a part of from beginning to end for Techrete! We want to extend a huge congratulations to everyone involved!
